Thanks and Golden Bike Bells to our supporters

Our brilliant supporter Alex Tait has just completed an update of our Quick Wins.

Quick Wins are the many small changes that could be made to make it safer and more convenient to travel by foot, wheels and bike. You will doubtless know of missing dropped kerbs, signage changes and barrier removal that could be changed to improve things.

We are working with both Devon County and Exeter City Councils to get these sorted.

And we have had some real success recently. Examples include

barrier removal on the underpasses in Alphington
bike contraflow approved for Clifton Hill
foot and bike path investment at The Triangle car park
signage and high visibility surfacing on A379 at Matford
chicane removal in Topsham
Quick Wins incorporated into recent schemes and consultations at Exminster and Barnfield Gateway

A comprehensive, convenient and connected network of cycle paths for people of all ages and abilities to choose cycling as the safe, natural choice for everyday journeys.

We advocate not only for people who cycle but for people who walk, wheel and scoot.

We’ve seen some successes, and some reverses, over the last few years but every metre of safe cycling requires hard work and campaigning so that Officers and Councillors feel confident enough to implement schemes.
