We are delighted to be able to share that our former Chair, Mike Walton, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Exeter Sustainability Awards Sustainable Hero Award.

This recognises Mike’s ten years of dedication to all the Campaign has achieved and how hard he and supporters have worked to start to create a City where everyone of all ages and abilities will be able to choose to walk, wheel or cycle.

The Award ceremony will be on 19 March and Mike’s fellow finalists are leaders of an eco-beachwear company and a pre-loved clothing brand.

Good luck to all the finalists (and especially Mike).

Coming very soon – Dryden Road consultation

All Exeter residents are being invited to share their views as Devon County Council launches a public consultation on proposed changes to Dryden Road and the surrounding area from Monday 2 March until noon on Sunday 5 April 2026.

The consultation is looking at measures to address local traffic concerns and to make walking, wheeling and cycling in the area safer, easier and more convenient.

Details of the proposals and the online survey can be found on the consultation website at: https://dcctransportplanning.commonplace.is/.

As part of the consultation, a drop in event will also be held on Wednesday 11 March 2026, from 5pm to 8pm, at Wonford Community Centre, Burnthouse Lane, Exeter.

Once the we have seen the details of the consultation we will share a Campaign view.  Our focus will be on safety and connection, solving issues raised by stakeholders and good value for money for hard-won active travel funding.
