School run-heaven or hell?

We love to meet up, swap stories and exchange ideas on how to make Exeter better for people on bikes, wheels and foot at our Summer Socials.

At our May social we were joined by two dogs travelling by bike, fellow Campaigners from North Devon and Torbay, and a newly elected Councillor.

We generated some great ideas and some of them are already being planned to happen.

If you missed May then please do come and say hello in June.

What is your experience of school drop off and pick up?

We all know it can be mayhem with drivers ignoring the zigzags, a build up of car traffic causing road danger to those children walking, cycling or scooting to school.

Did you know that Exeter City Council adopted a cross party motion supporting more School Streets?

We want to hear all your experiences, good or bad.

What does Exeter Cycling Campaign stand for?
A comprehensive, convenient and connected network of cycle paths for people of all ages and abilities to choose cycling as the safe, natural choice for everyday journeys.

We advocate not only for people who cycle but for people who walk, wheel and scoot.

Please don’t leave it to others ……..
We’ve seen some successes, and some reverses, over the last few years but every metre of safe cycling requires hard work and campaigning so that Officers and Councillors feel confident enough to implement schemes.
