On 9 October Councillors on the Exeter Highways Committee voted to Keep Dryden Road Safe!
The motion they supported asked that ‘A public consultation is held on solutions that will address local traffic concerns while still offering safe, attractive routes for people walking and cycling on Dryden Road and Bovemoors Lane and surrounding areas.’
A huge thank you to all of you who emailed your Devon County Councillor to ask them to keep Dryden Road Safe.
Your action made a difference.
Now would be a great time to email them again to say ‘Thanks’ to the Highways Committee for keeping Dryden Road Safe.
Not every Councillor fully supported the motion.
But they all played a full part in a full and constructive debate which concluded with the Committee agreeing this motion.
There will be much more to come once the consultation gets underway in 2026, but for now they all deserve our thanks.
